Game to pay attention to: Suns vs. Cavaliers

Phoenix at Cleveland

There are quite a few intriguing matchups on tonight, so this was a tough call. OK, not the toughest call — the Cavs and Suns are great teams and fun watches when Cleveland’s offense is humming — but that doesn’t mean you can’t flip.

Toronto’s visit to Atlanta will feature some of the finest offensive teams in this league going at it, with the Raptors trying to right the ship and move closer to .500. For some reason, Toronto doesn’t feel like a 7-12 team.

Milwaukee and Washington will work, Washington seems like a disappointment while the Bucks appear to be a righteous overachiever, but the Wizards are only three games back of Scott Skiles’ team heading into tonight.

New York and Orlando? They played a nice game the other day. For 24 minutes, at least.

Memphis and Minnesota? For junkies, it’s always fun to see the also-rans go at it, lots of minutes for the developing ones.

Philadelphia and the Thunder? AI’s a Sixer, or will be in a few days. How will the 76ers respond? Because, if you’re not looking, the Thunder will hold you to a 12-point quarter before you even know what hit you.

Houston in Los Angeles, to take on the Clippers? Spunky overachievers versus well-heeled underachievers with talent? Yes, please. And on NBA TV, too.

10 games tonight, have fun with it, comment away.

Phoenix Suns: 14-4, 96.2 possessions per game (fifth), 115.7 points scored per 100 possessions (first), 109.9 points allowed per 100 possessions (24th).

Cleveland Cavaliers: 12-5, 91.4 possessions per game (22nd), 108.4 points scored per 100 possessions (12th), 103.5 points allowed per 100 possessions (eighth).
